Are you able to describe who you are and what you do?
Hi I’m Jejomar Limbo, a graphic designer from Philippines who specializes in making vector illustrations.
How would you describe your portfolio?
When did you first decide you wanted to pursue a creative career?
I think it was college back then. I was 19 yr’s old, and I got curious about desktop wallpapers.
I wanted to create one myself. I did some research, grasp the basics Adobe Ps, then It took off
What is your favourite medium to work in?
How did you get to where you are today?
After graduating college under Bachelor of Computer Engineering
last 2009 and a lot of contemplating whether to take a chance to get into the creative field.
I pursued a one-year design course (web design and animation) last 2010-2011 at a design school here. Right after that I started my freelance career as a graphic designer, and that’s how I got here.[divider_top]
What is the biggest challenge you have found, being in the creative industry?
Getting clients, and still is a challenge to me at the moment.
Building connections is one of the endeavors designers face when starting a freelance career.
Building Portfolio. It takes a lot of time and consistent effort.
You got to create a lot of bad ones to produce a sheer amount of quality work.
What inspires you?
My insatiable hunger for artistic knowledge and improvement.
Do you have an all time favourite piece of work you have created?
Do you have a favourite colour or set of colours to work in?
I usually work with a variety of colours from time to time but
I think it has to be Blue, Pink, and Purple. I play alot with those colours.
If you could give some advice to aspiring creative minds, what would it be?
Try to always have a positive state of mind in what you are doing. Be it art or in just anything. Don’t dread failure because it always has a special knack in your future success.
